What Boosted my Confidence in the Gym

This can apply to any method of working out that you choose!

First off, there's no better way to be confident in what you're doing than to know what you're doing. I honestly learned a lot from YouTube...even more than I learned in my personal training class. Social platforms are a great way to find information from real people with real experience. I go to the gym and do weight-training, so one of my favorite fitness YouTubers right now is Hunter Chilton. She puts together bomb, easy-to-follow workouts that target all different muscle groups. Another one of my go-to's is Abby Pollock. What I love about her channel is that she breaks down the science behind the different aspects of working out. It helped me better understand what I should be doing & why. Like YouTubeInstagram as a fun way of learning and getting insight from actual people. A couple of my friends, Kayla Hayward & Skylar Cassum, have fitness accounts on Instagram that are awesome for people in need of some inspiration & guidance, whether you're a beginner or a frequent gym goer! Each of them have their own way of doing it & keep it fun to follow! 10/10 recommend all of these lovelies for your fitness motivation!

When you look good, you feel good, right? Treat yourself to some cute workout clothes!! You don't need to break the bank either -- I get the cutest stuff from Tj Maxx & Marshalls. They've always got sales going on, on top of already discounted stuff! And most of the time you can find well-known brand names like Puma, Nike, Adidas, etc.!

Get yourself some headphones & a bomb playlist. Music keeps me focused and motivated to push myself through a workout!

Bringing a workout buddy with you can be so helpful if you're too shy to go alone. (I totally was at first.) Planet Fitness has an nifty little Black Card membership that lets you bring a friend with you for free whenever you go!

Most importantly; be confident with yourself as you are. You obviously love your body enough to put effort into making it healthier, so love it when you look in the mirror too -- every single day from now until you've reached your goal & beyond. Some days will be easier than others, just be gentle with yourself.
